Yvonne Tex Spicer Obituary

Yvonne Gossett Spicer, age 83 of Chesnee, South Carolina died Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at West Village in Greenville, South Carolina.   Yvonne was born on May 21, 1939 in Cherokee County, South Carolina and was the youngest child of the late Fred Joseph and Lula Cash Gossett.  

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Spicer; her son, Charles Lynn Spicer; brothers Howard Gossett, Dewey Gossett and J.C. Gossett; sisters, Mary Spakes, Avis Walker and Elsie Lawter.  

She is survived by her sister-in-law; Agnes Gossett and her nephews and nieces;  Doris Spakes, Shirley Love, Frankie Spakes, Denise Spakes, Richard Walker, Linda Shirah, Phyllis Hollifield, Sybil Roberts, Gail Dalton, Arnold Collins, Bobby Gossett, May Belle Gossett, Freida Conner, Clevie Gossett, Diane Cogdell, Charlie Gossett, and Angie Pearson.  

A gathering of remembrance will be held on 11 o'clock in the morning on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at The Padgett & King Mortuary.  Interment will follow at Riverside Baptist Church in Forest City, North Carolina.
