Born in Gaffney, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Webb McBrayer Hunt, Sr. and Irene Allen Hunt.  Webb’s strong work ethic and passion to be productive began early in his life. Webb grew up on a farm managed by his father Webb Hunt, Sr.  Webb’s entrepreneurial spirit began at a young age. He earned money by working on his dad’s farm, delivering newspapers, selling flavoring for cooking, and selling fresh produce. Following his graduation from Ellenboro High School, Webb worked at farming and in the mill at Stonecutter. He was later assigned to Army Headquarters to be the official driver for the Colonel of the 25 Division.

Webb’s professional career spanned over 40 years of work in the areas of the insurance industry, finance, and real estate. He was the former agency manager of Rutherford County Farm Bureau and was the co-owner of Insurance Service Associates with his son, Dwayne. Webb enjoyed making sure a client’s insurance needs were met with the best prices, personal service, and care. Throughout his career, Webb also loved buying, renovating, and selling property.

Webb was a member of Race Path Baptist Church, Ellenboro, N.C. for nearly 80 years, serving in many leadership roles including Deacon, Church Treasurer, Pulpit Committee Chair, Building Committee Chair, Music Minister Search Committee Chair, and Finance Committee Chair.
