Wanda Turner Watson Obituary

Wanda Turner Watson, age 78, of Forest City, North Carolina died Saturday, June 22, 2024.  Wanda was born on February 26, 1946, in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Fred and Ruth Grant Turner.   She was a graduate of Lee Edwards High School in Asheville and was a longtime resident of Enka.  Wanda worked for Three Mountaineer, a furniture manufacturer in Asheville for most of her career.  She was also a member of Connection Point Church of God in Asheville. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd R. Watson who died in 1999. 

Survivors include her son, Lloyd R. Watson, II and wife Janet Watson of Forest City, her grandson, Christopher Lloyd Watson of Forest City and her sisters, Teresa Gaddy and Freida Turner.

A memorial service will be held at 11 o’clock on Saturday, June 29, 2024, in The Padgett and King Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 o’clock prior to the service.
