Vickie Roberson Rich

Vickie Roberson Rich, age 82 of Bostic, North Carolina died Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Fairhaven of Forest City.  Vickie was born on January 11, 1944, in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Lewis Marsellus Roberson and Violet Harris Roberson. 

Vickie was the secretary at East Middle School where she retired after many years of service.  She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Bostic and more recently was a member of Florence Baptist Church until her health prevented her from attending. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Don Roberson and Greg Roberson, and her sister, Kay Blanton.

She is survived by her sons, Jack Rich and wife Shirley of Forest City, Jeremy Rich and wife Edie, and Jeffrey Rich and wife Anita all of Bostic, her daughter, Jill Rich Mills and husband, Terry of Mill Spring, NC, her brother, Steve Roberson and wife Beckey of Forest City, and her sister, Gail Garrison of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.  There are eight grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.   

The funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock on Friday, May 8, 2026, in The Padgett and King Chapel with the Reverend Scott Butler officiating.  Interment will follow at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Bostic.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 on Friday prior to the service at the mortuary.
