Vicki Morrow Walker, 66, of Ellenboro, died gathered with loving family and friends at her home on Sunday, October 5, 2025.  Born on February 4, 1959 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Billy Wayne and Joyce Morrow.  Vicki was known for her tireless work ethic.  Even though she was small in stature, she carried a strength and determination that left a lasting impression on everyone that knew her.  She had a way of making everyone feel like they mattered.  One of her favorite activities was teaching the children’s Sunday school classes at Grays Creek Baptist Church. Her circle of family and friends was wide and filled with laughter, stories and love – a true reflection of the kind of person she was.  Those lucky enough to have known her will forever carry her warmth and wisdom in their hearts.

Vicki was preceded in death by her father and her daughter Jaime B. Johnson.

Survivors include her husband, Rick Walker of the home, her mother Joyce Morrow of Rutherfordton, sons Matt Walker of Houston, Texas and Kevin Walker and wife Sita of Forest City, brother Eddie Morrow and wife Tammy of Rutherfordton, sisters Janet Thompson and husband Eddie of Raleigh, and Donna Campbell and husband Billy of Rutherfordton, grandchildren Bailey Davis of Seattle, Washington, Kaia Walker of Forest City and Seth Johnson of Forest City and many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as her special friend Joyce Ann Pace.

A family conducted memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 3 o’clock in the afternoon at Grays Creek Baptist Church in Rutherfordton officiated by Reverend Bryan Ezell and Reverend Eddie Thompson.  Receiving of friends will be one hour prior to the service in the Grays Creek Baptist Church Life Center.  The family is also gathering at the home of Joyce Morrow at 621 Grays Creek Church Road, Rutherfordton, North Carolina 28139.

The family would also like to extend their appreciation for all the love and prayer from family and friends during this time and the staff at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills and the Levine Cancer Center in Forest City.  In lieu of flowers please donate to the Grays Creek Baptist Children’s Ministry at 751 Grays Creek Church Road, Rutherfordton, North Carolina 28139.
