Tracey James Obituary

Tracey Alanda James, age 54 of Mooresboro died Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at his home.  He was born on August 16, 1968, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Herbert Newton James, Sr, and Dorothy Underwood James. 

He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, a graduate of Chase High School, and worked as a long-distance truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Belinda James Guillermo. 

Survivors include his wife, April Henry James of the home, his daughter, Megan Wilhoit and fiancée, Chad Gordon of Forest City, his sons, Zeke Kendall and Joey Kendall all of Mooresboro, his brother, Herbert James, Jr. and wife Sandra of Shelby, brother-in-law, Erlindo Guillermo of Forest City, mother and father-in-law, Tina and Gary Henry of Delaware, Ohio, and five grandchildren, Branson Wilhoit, Berkley Wilhoit, Emma Gordon, Zella Gordon, and Jensen Gordon.

The funeral service will be at 3 o’clock on Monday, May 1, 2023, in The Padgett and King Chapel with Reverend Chris Fox officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 o’clock prior to the service at the mortuary.  Interment will be private for the family.
