Tom Rhodes

Thomas Robert Rhodes, 74, of Forest City, NC died Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby, NC.  Born in New Haven, CT, he is the son of Dorothy Perry Rhodes of Simsbury, CT and the late William Rhodes.  Tom was a 1968 graduate of Guilford High School in Guilford, CT where he was active with the band and received All Eastern Seaboard designation.  He was later a member of the New Haven Symphony.  He had also served with the Washington Engine Volunteer Fire Department in Guilford.  Tom worked for many years in the water well industry,  having owned and operated two related businesses in Connecticut and Florida. He also served as a water pump consultant with Grundfos of the Americas.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Graham Rhodes of the home; a daughter, Jennifer Rhodes of Shelby, NC; brothers, Peter Rhodes of Haddonfield, NJ, and William Rhodes of Atlanta, GA; and a sister, Kathryn Kay of Simsbury, CT.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Rhodes.
