Teresa Diane Harley, age 64 of Bostic, died Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the Rutherford Regional Medical Center.  Teresa was born on December 26, 1959, in Cleveland County and was the daughter of the late Paul Edward and Geraldine McKinney. 

Teresa was a graduate of East Rutherford High School in 1978.  She loved her cats, the beach and reading books.  Teresa overcame many battles with illness during her last years of life.  More than anything she desired to see her only grandson graduate before she left this life, and she did by one day.

She was preceded in death by her brother Brian Edward McKinney and her son-in-law Danny Smith.

Survivors include her husband of twelve years Fay Clayton Murray of the home, a daughter Brandee Nicole Smith, a sister Kathy McCurry and husband Tommy of Bostic, and a grandson Elijah Gage Smith.

In lieu of flowers the family requests charitable donations be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO 336, Forest City, NC 28043
