It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sybil Wilkerson Price on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the age of seventy-seven. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, Sybil touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Born in Forest City, North Carolina, Sybil was known for her kind and gentle spirit. She spent her days enjoying the simple pleasures of life, including reading her Bible, doing crossword puzzles, watching episodes of Lassie, and spending time with those she loved. She had a special fondness for her two beloved cats, Punkin and Charlie, who brought her much joy and companionship. She was a graduate of East Rutherford High School.

Sybil found happiness in the quiet moments of life, whether she was sharing a meal with family and friends, relaxing at home, or enjoying good conversation. Her presence was always comforting, and she will be remembered for the warmth and love she brought to those around her.

Sybil will be dearly missed, but her spirit will remain in the hearts of all who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Boyce and Christine Dobbins Wilkerson, her husband Bill Price, and her brother, Larry Wilkerson.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Gagner Goode and husband Greg of Forest City, her brother, Roger Wilkerson and wife Cindy of Rutherfordton, her grandchildren, Stacy Klickman and husband Spencer of Rutherfordton, and Jacob Harris and wife Anna of Landrum, South Carolina. There are also four great-grandchildren, Averett and Shepherd Klickman, and Maggie and Eva Harris.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 o’clock on Thursday, December 12, 2024, in The Padgett and King Chapel officiated by the Reverend Dr. Keith Stephenson and her brother, Roger Wilkerson will deliver a eulogy. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the mortuary.
