Stephanie Lynn (Workman) Callahan

Stephanie Lynn Callahan, age 53 of Rutherfordton, died Saturday, April 13, 2024, at her residence.  She was born on February 16, 1971 in Marion, NC and was the daughter of Ray and Pat Workman.  Stephanie was fun-loving, loved to joke, was an avid online bargain shopper and a very giving person.  She was also a very straight forward individual who never sugar coated anything.  She was extremely proud of her children and was a loving mother and grandmother as well as a pet parent to her beloved dog Coco. 

Survivors include her husband, Jack Callahan, of the home, her daughter, Ashley Mitchell and fiancé Ryan Hoyle of Forest City, her son, Joshua Mitchell and wife Dakota of Inman, SC, her sister, Charlotte Workman and fiancé Mark Whisnant of Mooresboro, her brother, Jonathan Eplin and wife Emily of Spindale, and her grandchildren Halie Henson, Brantley Mitchell, Braxton Mitchell, Jackson McAbee, Maddox Henson, and Colton Henson as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 3pm on Thursday, April 18, 2024, in The Padgett and King Chapel with the Reverend Keith Stephenson officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2-3pm prior to the service at the mortuary.  Interment will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Marion, NC
