Raeford Scott Huntley, age 66 of Mooresboro, North Carolina died Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Hospice House in Forest City.  Scott was born on September 5, 1957, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Harold Wayne Huntley and Dorothy Mae Childers Huntley.

Scott was retired auto mechanic and a member of Cliffside Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Darmie Neal Langley.

Survivors include a daughter, Leslie Lee of Mooresboro, and his close friends Jack, Robbie, caregiver, Donna Hewitt, and his faithful dog Roxie.  

A service from the graveside will be held at 2 o’clock on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Cleveland Memorial Park with the Reverend Mike Elgin officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
