Scott Harrill

Roger Scott Harrill, 72, of Forest City, NC, died Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, Forest City.  Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Howard B. Harrill and Evelyn Sorrells Harrill.  Scott began his career as an artist and designer with Howard Harrill Decorating where he later served as Vice-president and Sales Manager.  Later he was the owner and manager of The Scott Harrill Company. Both companies manufactured exterior commercial Christmas decorations. He also owned Scott Harrill Photography which specialized in commercial design and photography.  Scott attended East Rutherford High School and later graduated from Stanton Military Academy in Stanton, VA.  He was also a graduate of Wake Forest University where he received his BBA in Marketing and Management.  While at Wake Forest University, he was a US Army ROTC graduate and a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity

Survivors include his son, Jason Harrill (Amy) of Troutman, NC, his sister, Linda H. Lovelace (Tim) of Forest City, NC and two grandchildren, Presley and Abigail.

A graveside service will be held 2 pm Friday in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tonya Garrison officiating.  The family will speak to friends following the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P O Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.  The Padgett & King Mortuary & Crematory is serving the Harrill family.  Online condolences may be made at www.padgettking.com.
