Sally Melton (Mosley) Barker

Sally Melton Barker, age 83, died Friday, October 27, 2023, at Fairhaven Home in Bostic where she was a resident.  Sally was born on October 14, 1940, in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Venoy and Ina Inez Gurley Mosley. 

She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and a graduate of Cool Springs High School.  Sally was a licensed North Carolina Insurance Agent having started her career with Liberty Life and later with Western & Southern Life Insurance where she retired. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Mosley Wade.

Survivors include her daughters, Teresa M. Bullman, Sharon M. Pruett (Grady), Amy M. Suhy, and Susan M. McCurry (Freddy), her sister, Barbara M. Watts (Glenn), her grandchildren, Jessica Beheler (T.C.), Brent Bullman (Caroline), Meagan Toney, Adam Pruett (Holly), Taylor Counts (Dwayne), Brittany Dixon, Tripp Toney (Rebecca), and Ethan Suhy (Florance). There are also 15 great-grandchildren.

A service from the graveside will be held at 3 o’clock on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Ad Hopper officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
