Obituary

Ronald Eugene “Ronnie” Hardin, age 74 of Blacksburg, South Carolina died Friday, February 17, 2023 at Cherokee Medical Center in Gaffney.  Ronnie was born on January 6, 1949, in Cherokee County and was a son of the late George Neely Dale Hardin and Ann Hardin.  He was retried from FMC in Bessemer City where he worked in maintenance.  He was a United States Army Veteran and loved the outdoors, especially fishing. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Self Hardin, his brother, George Hardin, and a sister, Dale Ann Martin. 

Survivors include his daughter, Katie Marie Sides and husband Daniel of Gaffney, and his grandchildren, Ashley, Faith, and Luke Sides.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced later.

Memorials may be made to Cherokee County Meals on Wheels, 403 West Montgomery Street, Gaffney, South Carolina 29341.
