Ronald Butler Obituary

Ronald Dennis "Ronnie" Butler, age 60 of Forest City died Wednesday, January 16, 2019. Ronnie was born May 16, 1958 in Rutherford County and he is the son of Jeri Chapman Newton and her husband Homer of Columbus, NC and the late Billy Spurgeon Butler, Sr. He was also an auto mechanic. His brother, Billy Spurgeon Butler, Jr. also preceded him in death.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Chad Butler of Shelby, a daughter, Tosha Locklear and husband David of Pembroke, NC, two sisters, Janice McCraw and husband Tom of Forest City, Linda Garland and husband Johnny of Ellenboro, three grandchildren, Destiny Garrett, Candice Garrett and Chloe Locklear, and two step-grandchildren, Chasity Hooper and Hunter Moyers.

The memorial service will be held at 3 o'clock Sunday in The Padgett and King Chapel with Reverend Kevin Bradley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the mortuary.
