Ricky D. Dobbins, age 70 of Shelby died Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at CaroMont Health in Gastonia. Ricky was born on April 9, 1953, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Fred Dobbins and Lela Mae Branch Fish. He enjoyed old cars and restoring them and was a member of the National Street Rod Association.
His is survived by his wife, Mary Judy Dobbins of Shelby, his son, Eric Jason Dobbins of Shelby, his daughter, Chrissy Baughman Irvin and husband Guy of Shelby, his stepfather, J.D. Fish of Shelby, his grandchildren, Candice Baughman, Chad Baughman, Liam Dobbins, and Kuy Irvin and great-grandchild, Oaklynn Mae Baughman.
A service from the graveside will be held at 11 o’clock on Friday, December 22, 2023, at the Cleveland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o’clock on Thursday evening at The Padgett and King Mortuary.
