Rex Beam Price

Rex Beam Price, age 90 of Forest City died Thursday, March 31, 2022, at home with his family. He was born April 20, 1931, in Forest City and was a son of the late Vance R. Price and Willie Hoyle Price. Rex was a graduate of Tri-High School, Forest City, Mars Hill College, North Carolina State College, and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School. After serving in the U. S. Marine Corps, he worked as a Senior Vice President of the Federal Land Bank, Columbia, SC, until his retirement.

 In addition to his parents and all four siblings, Rex was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Sue Tate Price.

 He is survived by his sons, Tony Price of Winnsboro, SC, Doug Price and wife Libby of Forest City, Steve Price of West Columbia, SC, and daughter, Linda Price Landers of Stallings, NC, grandchildren, Adam Price and wife Amanda of Lexington, SC, Amy Temples of Wesley Chapel, NC, great-grandchildren, Landon Price and Collin Price both of Lexington, SC.

 A private burial will be held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church cemetery with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. Memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 397 Mt. Pleasant Church Road, Forest City, North Carolina 28043.
