Randy Oliver Obituary

Randy Oliver, 68, of Rutherfordton, passed away on December 24, 2024. Born on September 23, 1956, Randy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who brought joy to everyone around him.

Randy married the love of his life, Jo, in 1991, and together they built a life full of love, happiness, and countless memories. Family was everything to Randy, and he made sure to cherish every moment with his kids, grandkids, and loved ones.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Fortune Oliver and Betty Jenkins Oliver, and a son, Steven Tyler Oliver.

He leaves behind his wife, Jo; his kids, Amanda Fowler (Alex), Whitney Bailey (Scott), Blakeney Oliver, and Reece Oliver; and his siblings, Steve Oliver and Robin Oliver. He was a proud "Papa" to Whitney and Scott’s three boys, Max, Sawyer, and Myer, who will carry his stories and love with them forever.

Randy’s life was one of love, laughter, and putting family first. He’ll be missed more than words can say, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Bethany Baptist Church in Forest City, with receiving of friends to follow. In keeping with Randy's laid-back spirit, attendees are encouraged to dress casually.
