Polly Keyes Obituary

Polly Greene Keyes, age 89 of Forest City died Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Willow Ridge Nursing Center. Polly was born November 3, 1930 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Fred and Gladys Hamrick Greene. Polly was reared in Ellenboro where she graduated from Ellenboro High School in the Class of 1949 and continued her education at Gardner-Webb College graduating in 1951.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Oliveri, her brothers, Jack Greene, James Greene, Fred Greene, Jr, and Billy Greene, and her sisters, Janelle Greene and Mary DiGiorgio.

Survivors include her grandson, Damon Oliveri of Rutherfordton, sister, Peggy Toney of Forest City, brother, Jerry Greene of Forest City. There are also a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday, May 19, 2020 in The Padgett and King Chapel where her nephews will participate in a eulogy to honor her memory. Interment will be private at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellenboro.
