Phillip Anthony George, age 58 of Mooresboro died Thursday, January 6, 2022, at his residence. Born March 20, 1963, in Long Beach, California he is a son of Marion Phillip George and the late Grace Elizabeth Taylor. He worked with Hamrick Mills for 40 years prior to his retirement, was a member of the Catawba Indian Tribe of Rock Hill and thoroughly enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Phillip was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Surviving is his wife, Veronica Shores George of the home; his father Marion Phillip George; his son, John Linwood Waldrop of Mooresboro, and two daughters, April Hicks and husband Jeremy of Mooresboro, and Sharon Lowery also of Mooresboro; he is also survived his siblings, Linda Faye George, John Earl George, Lisa Michelle Villa, Summer Lynn George, April Lee George, Kristen Nicole George, Emilie Wycie George and Phillip Dakota Twobear George and well as numerous aunts and uncle and six grandchildren.
