Perry Dean Stephens, age 63 of Forest City died Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Hospice House in Forest City. Perry was born on March 12, 1963, in Rutherford County and was the son of the late Jack Perry Stephens and Ammie Lou Hogan Stephens.
He worked in Chemical Processing in the Control Room at Aurgia Polymers in Spartanburg with 41 years’ service. In 1989 he married Tammy Owens and together they started and raised a family. Perry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved and supported his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lana Jean Stephens, and father-in-law, George (Buddy) Owens.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Owens Stephens of the home, his sons, Jack Stephens (Randi) of Lexington, South Carolina, Josh Stephens of Jonesville, South Carolina, his daughter, Ashley Stephens Morrison (Michael) of Forest City, his sister, Janet Stephens Forrest (Danette Canup) of High Point, North Carolina , his mother-in-law, Janie Faye Owens of Forest City, and his four beloved grandchildren, McKenzie Stephens, Harper Stephens, DeHaven Morrison and Sawyer Stephens.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in The Padgett and King Chapel with the Reverend Tripp Queen officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 Saturday prior to the service at the mortuary.
