Peggy Jean Crow Clark, age 80 of Rutherfordton died Saturday, March 7, 2026, at her home.  Peggy was born on June 19, 1945, in Macon, Georgia and was a daughter of the late Carl Melton Crow and Ruth Virginia White Crow. 

She was a woman of strong and enduring faith that sustained her throughout her life.  She was deeply devoted to her family and her love for each of them was evident in everything she did. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lee Clark, her son, Phillip Lee Clark, her brothers, William Thomas Crow and Joseph Donald Crow, and her sister, Agnes Irene Bailes.

Survivors include her daughter, Aleta Clark Grant and husband Michael of Rutherfordton, her sister, Sherry Crow Ellis and husband Ricky D. Ellis of Hickory, and her beloved grandchildren, Cody Lee Childers, Cory Paul Childers and wife Taylor, and great-grandchildren, Mac Childers and Indigo Childers.

The funeral service will be held at 1 o’clock on Friday, March 13, 2026, in The Padgett and King Chapel with her grandson, Cory Paul Childers officiating.  Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Shelby. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1 o’clock prior to the service.
