Peggy Bridges Obituary

Mrs. Peggy Epley Bridges, age 82 of Forest City died Friday, March 8, 2019 at Hospice House in Forest City. Peggy was born March 30, 1936 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Earl and Foy Tipton Epley. She had worked in textiles for many years and was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Peggy enjoyed gardening and she loved watching and feeding the birds, especially the Cardinals that visited her yard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Bridges in 2016.

Survivors include her son, Scott Bridges of Forest City, her sister, Donna Jackson and husband Scott of Ellenboro, her sister-in-law, Alice Kerr of Denver, North Carolina and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service from the graveside will be held at 2 o:clock Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Ron Wilkins officiating. The family will greet friends following the graveside service.
