Nancy Condrey Toney, age 83 of the Sunshine Community, Bostic, died Saturday, August 22, 2020 at her residence. Nancy was born September 23, 1936 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Ernest H. and Dean Self Condrey.
Nancy was a graduate of Sunshine High School in the Class of 1954 and a faithful member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. She was active in her community over the years and was a member of the D.A.R., Rutherford County Chapter.
Nancy lived to serve her Lord and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy was found in caring for her family and doting on her grandchildren. Always putting others before herself, she gave of her time and talents to serve in her home, church, and community. She was an excellent cook and always welcomed others into her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Yates Toney, Sr in 2016, her son-in-law, Ricky Thompson, and brother, Robert “Bob” Condrey.
Survivors include her children, Forrest Toney, Jr of Ellenboro, Beverly T. Hudson, and Cindy T. Thompson both of Bostic, and Myra T. Waters and husband Sam of Casar. There are also eight grandchildren, Nick Waters, Trent Waters, Mark Hudson, Jr, Meagan Toney, Blake Hudson, Brittany Dixon, Tripp Toney, and Zachary Thompson. There are also fifteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that loved her.
A private family graveside service will be held in the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery, officiated by the Reverend Paul White, Jr, and Reverend Jason Toney. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
