Nancy Smith Lewis, age 77 of Forest City died Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Hospice House in Forest City.  Nancy was born on May 19, 1946, in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late James Carl Smith and Katie-Rea Fincannon.  She was a 1964 graduate of East Rutherford High School and retired from the Graham Cash Company in Forest City where she worked for many years as a sales associate.  Nancy was also a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, William A. “Bill” Lewis of the home, her son, Chris Lewis of Forest City, her daughters, Tonya Lee Lewis Brown and husband Charlie of Ellenboro, and Samantha Lewis Norris and husband Luke of Beaufort, South Carolina, as well as grandchildren, Sierra Crowder, Luke Brown, Anna Kate Norris and Victoria Norris.  She was also a loving Nanny to Hailey and Hannah Crowder. 

The funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Reverend Stephen Matheny and the Reverend Wayne Toney officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 at the church prior to the service.
