Mildred Bailey Honeycutt Obituary

Mildred Bailey Honeycutt, age 99 of Cliffside died Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Oakland Living Center.  Mildred was born on January 8, 1926, in Cleveland County and was a daughter of the late Otis and Mamie McCraw Cobb.  She was a lifelong Baptist and had once worked for Cone Mills at Cliffside and for many years was a teller at First Citizens Bank in Cliffside where she retired.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Morris Bailey, her second husband, Carmel Honeycutt, and her son-in- law, Tony Salinero.

Survivors include her son, Jerry Bailey and wife Joyce of Tallahassee, Florida, her daughter, Janice Bailey Salinero of Tallahassee, Florida, her brother, Jim Cobb, and sisters, Ruth Southerland and Donna Ivester.  There are also three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will have a time of remembrance and sharing beginning at 2 o’clock on Sunday, May 4, 2025 in the Fellowship Hall at Prospect Baptist Church, 2610 Prospect Church Road, Mooresboro, North Carolina.
