Mary Lou Jackson Obituary

Mary Lou Jackson, 88, of Forest City, died Monday, October 19, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.  Born in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Phillips and Carrie Putman Phillips.  Mary Lou worked for twenty years at Smith’s Drug and later as secretary of Cool Springs Middle School until her retirement.  She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church.  Following retirement Mary Lou enjoyed babysitting many children.

Surviving are her husband, Leonard Jackson, of the home; sons, Tony Jackson and wife Debra of Inman, SC and Greg Jackson of Kings Mountain, NC; sisters, Grace Willard, Marie Harrill, and Christine Ingle, all of Forest City; three grandchildren, Katie Jackson,  Josh Greene, and  Robbie Bellamy; and five great grandchildren, Ragan and Brooklyn Bellamy, Brady and Banks Greene, and Colson Frigo.

A graveside service will be held at twelve noon on Thursday, October 22, 2020 in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park.  The wearing of masks and social distancing are requested at the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P O Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
