Mary Hazel Campbell, age 77 of Forest City died Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Fairhaven of Forest City.
Hazel was born on July 24, 1947, in Rutherford County and was the daughter of the late Joseph Allan Dobbins and Annie Toms Dobbins. She was a cafeteria worker for many years at Rutherfordton Elementary School as well as at Camp Bud Schiele for the Boy Scouts of America. She was also a member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Campbell, Jr., and her sons, Charles Cash and Allen Cash.
Survivors include her daughter, Angela Denise Buff of Ellenboro, her brother, Dean Dobbins of Spindale, her grandchildren, Tabitha Buff, Jeffrey Buff, Josh Cash, and Stephen Buff. There are also three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock on Friday, June 13, 2025, in The Padgett and King Chapel with the Reverend Chad Sisk officiating. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 o’clock Friday prior to the service at the mortuary.
