Mary Quinn Kiser, age 88 of Forest City, died Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at her residence. She was born July 10, 1932 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late John Calton Moore, Sr. and Ruth Burgess Moore.
Mary Quinn was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County and a graduate of Tri-High School. She was also a homemaker and member of Florence Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Thomas L. “Shorty” Kiser as well as a loving mother and grandmother. Caring for her family and others was her greatest joy in life.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Datus Michael Ward, grandson, Stewart Preston Ward and brother, Frank B. Moore.
Survivors include her son, Bob Ward and his wife Anna of Forest City, her daughter-in-law, Reba Ward of Forest City, and her brother, John Caldwell Moore, Jr. of Caroleen. There are also four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services are private for the family with interment at Cool Springs Cemetery.
