Martha Bridges Davis

Martha Warren Bridges Davis, age 87 of Ellenboro died Friday, Sept. 8th, 2023 at Hospice House in Laurens, S C, near her son.  She was born Dec. 29, 1935 in Mooresboro, N C and was a daughter of the late Jasper Newton Bridges, Sr., and Martha Blanche Bellamy Bridges. 

Martha was  a retired Teacher in the Public Schools and a member of Race Path Baptist Church.  She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Leburn Davis in 1967, her daughter, Debby Davis Haynes, in 2007, and  her siblings, Jasper Newton Bridges, Jr., Hubert Eugene Bridges and Lenora Bridges McGee Crouch. 

Survivors include her brother James Thomas Bridges, her children, Charles Robert Davis, Darrell Mitchell Davis, and wife Debbie,  her son-in-law, Greg Haynes, Grandchildren, Casey Ledbetter, and husband, Jason, Christie Summers, and husband, Scott, Caity Helms, Chelsea Davis, and significant other, Sergio Santiago, Clint Davis, and wife Kait Wagner Davis, Clay Davis, Chloe Davis, and significant other, Tristan Jenkins; Madison Smith, and husband Jeremy Smith, Jeremy Haynes. Her Great-grandchildren, Michael Ledbetter, Seth Summers, Allie Summers, Regan Summers, Ryan Summers, Natalie Causby, Emma Causby, Christopher Payne,  Hadley Clark, Addy Santiago, Minnie Davis and Damien Smith.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Race Path Baptist Church with the Reverend Randall Cooper officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 o’clock prior to the service at the church.
