Marjorie Jean (Daniel) Huskey

Marjorie Daniel Huskey, age 93 of Forest City died Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Cedar Creek Living in Forest City.  Marjorie was born on April 23, 1929, in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Eva Morrow Daniel. 

Marjorie was a lifelong member of Bethany Baptist Church and was the owner and operator of Hillcrest Rest Home for 38 years. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Damon H. Huskey who was Sheriff of Rutherford County for many years and her son, Michael Ray Huskey, her brother, Claude Daniel and her beloved dog, “Foxy”.

Survivors include her daughter, Melony Joy Huskey Walker and husband Michael, her sons, Jerald Scott Huskey and wife Lynn and Christopher Damon Huskey and wife Amy.  There are eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday, January 14, 2023, in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park with the Reverend Chris Fox and the Reverend Jerry Ruppe officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Joy Walker, Sheriff Huskey Drive, Forest City.
