Marie Phillips Harrill, age 97 of Forest City, died Thursday, February 20, 2025. Marie was born on June 23, 1927 in Rutherford County and was the daughter of Charlie and Carrie Phillips. She was a beautician by trade and a faithful member of both Sandy Mush and Crestview Church. She loved to sew, sing in the choir and spend time with friends, but her family brought her the most joy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William V. Harrill, Jr., and sisters, Mary Lou Jackson and Christine Ingle. She is survived by two children, LuJuan Harrill of Morganton and Donnie Harrill and wife Joyce of Forest City, two granddaughters, Kelly Hudson and husband Kevin and Mandy Johnson and husband Alan, their children Riley and Camryn all of Rutherfordton, her sister, Grace Willard of Forest City and her friend, and caregiver, Pat LaFevers.
No formal service will be held at this time.
