Margaret Hollandsworth Obituary

Margaret Winifred Hollandsworth, 83, of Ellenboro, died Monday, March 10, 2025, at Hospice House in Forest City. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Winfred Reese and Margaret (Kolozsy) Toole. Marge was a registered nurse and worked for over 30 years in Chicago-area hospitals. She was a member of Tri-City Baptist Church in Forest City and loved serving the Lord in every church she was a part of through the years.

Marge’s favorite pastimes included playing games and baking with her 15 grandchildren. She always made each of them feel special and loved.

Marge is survived by her children, James S. (Leslie) Hollandsworth of Ellenboro; Timothy J. Hollandsworth of Anderson, Indiana; and Julie (Russ) Campbell of Anderson, Indiana; four brothers; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Hollandsworth, in 2019.

The funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Tri-City Baptist Church, officiated by her son, Pastor Jim Hollandsworth.  Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Friday at the church.  

Memorials may be made to Tri-City Baptist Church, 910 Piney Ridge Road, Forest City, NC 28043.
