Obituary

Marcus Alexander Lovelace age 20 of Forest City died Monday, September 11, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Born on November 21, 2002, in Buncombe County, North Carolina. Marcus completed a certificate in the Welding Program at Isothermal Community College.

He is survived by his father, Sam Lovelace and wife, Crystal of Forest City; his mother, Leslie Robertson and husband, Scott of Campobello, South Carolina, two brothers, Nathan Lovelace of Tampa, FL, and Joshua Eli Lovelace of Forest City; two sisters, Caitlin Lovelace of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Jessica Robertson of Campobello, South Carolina; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

The funeral service will be held at 3 o’clock on Sunday, September 17, 2023, in The Padgett and King Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 prior to the service at the mortuary.

The Padgett & King Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
