Linda Mae (Hawkins) Emory

Linda Hawkins Emory, age 76 died Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Oak Grove Health Care where she was a resident.   She was born in Rutherford County on October 10, 1944 and was a daughter of the late Leonard “Slim” Hawkins and Frances Hawkins Roberts. 

Linda was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, and her greatest delight was coloring and drawing with her great-grandchildren.   She also enjoyed puzzles, frogs, and her flowers.  She worked for many years at R & R Plastics where she retired.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Larry Hawkins, Janet Hamrick, and Darrell Roberts.

Survivors include her son, David Emory, Jr of Forest City, her daughter, Debra Emory Conner and husband Brian of Rutherfordton, her brother, Reggie Ferland (Mariam) of Georgia, her grandchildren, Brandon Emory (Amber), Kaila Edwards (Caleb), Amber Lail (Josh), and Aubrey Emory, eleven great-grandchildren and nieces and nephew, Regina Rachel, Rebecca, and Shane as well as her beloved Dog, Smokey which brought her much happiness. 

The family will have a private memorial service in The Padgett and King Chapel officiated by the Reverend Phil Ledford.
