Lillian Calvert, age 94 of Forest City, died Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Fairhaven Home of Forest City. Lillian was born on July 16, 1929, in the Green Creek Community of Polk County and she was a daughter of the late Vaughn Henry Calvert and Zora Riddings Calvert.
She was a graduate of Green Creek High School and a member of New Hope Methodist Church. Lillian worked for Stonecutter Mills Corporation as a Cloth Inspector, retiring in 1994. She also enjoyed traveling to the beach with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jennings Calvert, Grady Calvert, and Winford Calvert, as well as her sisters, Loree Spurlin, Ethel Green, and Pauline Jenks.
Survivors include her brother, Dupree Calvert and wife Ruth of Forest City, and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, in The Padgett and King Chapel with the Reverend Deborah Toney officiating. Interment will follow in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 o’clock prior to the service at the mortuary.
