Leonard Fredrick Hartford, age 73 of Spartanburg, SC died Saturday, January 23, 2021 at his home.
Born March 7, 1947 in Watertown, South Dakota, he was the son of the late Fredrick George and Ruth Marie Hartford. He was veteran of the United States Navy and later retired as a business owner of Carolina Concrete Floor Polishing. Throughout his career as a plant manager at Aeroquip, Eaton, Tenneco and Zeuna Stärker, Leonard worked and lived in numerous locations worldwide. Upon retirement he enjoyed wine making and painting in his spare time. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg and a faithfully active attendee of Bethany Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Susan Hartford.
Surviving are his wife Carla Hartford of the home; a son, Michael Hartford of Forest City; two daughters, Landyn Hartford of Columbia, SC and Leslie Lesher and husband Ammon of Simpsonville, SC; grandchildren, Parker Lesher, Griffin Lesher, Joshua Hartford, Megan Hartford, and Logan Hartford; and great-grandchildren Hannah, Brayden, Grayson and Silas.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2 o’clock at the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Chris Fox officiating.
