Lenna Milam

Lenna Seay Milam, 96, of Bostic passed away Sunday Sept. 18, 2022, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City. She was born in Sunburst, NC in Haywood County to the late Hayes Seay and Gertrude Mull Seay. Lenna was raised in Bryson City, NC. She loved and lived in Forest City from 1958 until her death. She worked for the Doncaster and Tanner Corp. for many years and was also a housewife raising 4 boys along the way. She was a devout Christian who loved going to church, who had read her Bible all the way through more than 60 times. Sunday was her favorite day of the week, and she was blessed to depart this life on a Sunday. She loved her Church, Father's Vineyard, the Rutherford County Senior Center, driving her candy apple red Infiniti G35 sports car, eating at her favorite restaurants in town, and walking at Ingles supermarket every evening for years fellowshipping with the patrons there. She also loved Bible crossword puzzles, praying over her handwritten tear strained Prayer List daily, and telling everyone that she loved them with all her heart, and she most certainly did.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Robert Edward Milam who affectionately called her, "Dollie Love." They were married 72 years and 3 months before his death in Dec. 2014. 1 son Robert Edward Milam Jr., 3 sisters, Hazel Seay Welch, Evelyn Seay Beatty, and Oberia Seay Read Edwards: 2 brothers, Buddy Seay, and Jack Seay.

She is survived by 3 sons, Jerry Milam of Marion, Alan Milam of Greensboro, and David Milam of Bostic. 1 sister, Thelma Seay Parker, and 1 brother, Arnold Seay both of Marion. 14 grandchildren, Robert Milam, Karen Hart, Tim Milam, and Renee Stowers all of Cheyenne Wyoming. Candi Hollifield of Rutherfordton, Bobby Milam and Shasta Tavernia of Forest City. Chris Milam, Steven Milam, Hannah Milam, and Luke Milam all of Marion. David Edward Milam of Salt Lake City, UT. Michael Milam and wife Victoria of Spartanburg, SC, Matthew Milam of Nashville, TN. plus, a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Father's Vineyard 724 Oakland Rd. in Spindale with Pastor Terry Howell officiating on Friday Sept. 23, 2022, with Visitation at 2pm and the funeral service at 3pm.

The family would like to thank all who have expressed their heartfelt condolences during this time.
