Obituary
Kay Keeter Collins, age 77, died Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Oak Grove Health Care where she was a resident. Kay was born on October 6, 1945 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Eugene and Lola Crotts Keeter.
Kay grew up in the Spencer Baptist Church and she was a Licensed Practical Nurse having received her LPN diploma from Isothermal Community College. She worked as a nurse for many years with Hospice of Rutherford County.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Collins Mode, her grandson, Joshua Gregory Mode and her brother, Billy Keeter.
Survivors include her son, Gary Collins of Nebo, NC, her daughter, Gena Collins Shelton and husband Ronald of Spindale, her grandson, Kyle Shelton, her brother, Larry Keeter and wife Ann of Boone, NC, as well as nieces and nephews.
At her request no formal service will be held.
