Katherine Filer Obituary

Katherine Marie Filer, age 89 of Forest City died Monday, December 23, 2019 at Atrium Health -Cleveland in Shelby. Katherine was born on August 9, 1930 in Greenville, Pennsylvania and was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Madelyn Palovich Zarecky. She worked for many years as a secretary and she was a Roman Catholic.

Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Robert Filer, and her sons, Terry Robert Filer and Ronald Merle Filer.

Survivors include her son, Gary Edward Filer and wife Terrie of Forest City, her daughter, Tammie Ann Filer of Forest City as well as six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

The funeral mass will be held at 1 o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, December 28, 2019 in The Padgett and King Chapel with Deacon Andy Cilone officiating. Interment will be held privately in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service in the chapel.
