June Hardin, Sr. Obituary

June Webb Hardin, Sr, age 93 of Forest City died Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.  June was born June 20, 1926 in Forest City and was a son of the late Thomas G. and Ollie J. Padgett Hardin.  He worked for many years for PPG Industries and served in the United States Army. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, William David Hardin, Jeremy Hardin, Steve Hardin, and R. Orell Hardin, his former wife and best friend, Geraldine Hardin Shepherd, a grandson, Timothy Hardin, brothers, Ralston "Bub" Hardin, Howard Hardin, and sisters, Mildred Lee, Kate Waters, Darcus Long, Eula Mae Earnie, and Hattie Pearl Harvey.

Survivors include four daughters, Vickie Bridges and husband John of Ellenboro, Mary Wall and husband Martin of Ellenboro, Linda Waters and husband Tommy of Mooresboro, and Eve Norton and husband Stephen of Forest City, five sons, Webb Hardin, Jr. and wife Linda of Rutherfordton, Tim Hardin and wife Pam of Union Mills, Joe Hardin of Forest City, George Hardin of Spindale and Raymond Hardin of Forest City.  There eleven grandsons, eight granddaughters, eight great-grandsons, nine great-granddaughters, and one great-great-grandson.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday, November 9, 2019 in The Padgett and King Chapel with Mr. Duffy Sams officiating and a eulogy by his daughter, Mary Wall.  Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery with military rites accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. 

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Friday evening at The Padgett and King Mortuary.
