Joyce Bruce Obituary

Joyce Young Bruce, 79, of Forest City, NC, formerly of Virginia Beach, VA, died Thursday, April 28, 2022 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, Greenville, SC. Born in Geneva, NY, she was the daughter of the late Donald Young and Norma Dunham Young ad the widow of the late Richard E. Bruce. Joyce worked as a real estate broker in Virginia Beach, VA and surrounding areas for many years and was an avid bird watcher and gardener. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Finlason (Debbie), Chesapeake, VA, Mark Finlason (Marion), Lucerne, CA, Pete Siviglia (Katie), Forest City, NC, Patrick Siviglia (Nicole), Portsmouth, VA, and Joseph “Skip” Siviglia (Betsy), Charlotte, NC; brothers, Joseph Steen (Wendy), Chesapeake, VA, and Jerry Steen (Jeanette), Ringgold, VA; sister, Teresa Perry (William); nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild. There are also a number of nieces and nephews.

Following her wishes, the family will scatter her cremated remains on May 21st in the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. No formal services are planned.
