Jonathan Mark “Johnny” Harrison, age 58, of Ellenboro, died Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.  Johnny was born on June 26, 1966, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late James Madison Harrison, Sr., and Barbara Jones Harrison.   He worked as a supervisor in plastic manufacturing for most of his career. 

Johnny was a 1984 graduate of East Rutherford High School.  He loved football and was a die-hard Washington Redskins fan.  Johnny also loved his family, especially cooking for them and he always supported his grandchildren at every birthday party and sporting event. 

Survivors include his wife, Fran Yarboro Harrison of the home, his sons, Blake Harrison (Ashley) of Forest City, Lucas Harrison of Ellenboro, and Dylan Harrison (Victoria) of Bostic, his daughters, Megan Harrison Arrowood (Josh) of Ellenboro, and Danielle Harrison Epley (Jordan) of Union Mills, a step-son, Mason Abernathy (Mariah) of Waco, North Carolina, his brother, Jamey Harrison (Jackie) of Ellenboro, and his sister, Tara Harrison Toney (Jason) of Ellenboro, his nine grandchildren, Landon, Jackson, and Jameson Harrison, Maddox, Brody, Finnan, and Coast Arrowood, Liam and Asher Epley, a special aunt, Judy Kay Bowman of Kings Mountain, his niece, Stephany Harrison and nephew, Isaac Toney (Anna).

The family will have a visitation from 5 until 7 o’clock on Saturday evening, September 7, 2024 at The Padgett and King Mortuary.  Interment of his ashes will be held privately by his family.
