John Arthur Freeman

John Arthur Freeman, 71, of Ellenboro, died Monday, April 20, 2020, at Willow Ridge of Rutherfordton.  Born in Cleveland County, John was the son of the late Ringo Pannell Freeman and Leslie Ruth Sparks Freeman and widower of Elizabeth L. Freeman.  He worked in security at Tryon Estates, was a former member of Rutherford County Rescue and a member of Corinth Baptist Church, Ellenboro.  A favorite of his, John called bingo at the Ellenboro Fair for thirty years.

Survivors include his son, Ronnie Freeman and wife Monica of Killeen, TX, daughter; Stacey Dodson and husband Jamey of Ellenboro; NC; step-children, Scott Limerick and wife Kim, Charlie Limerick, Jonathan Perry Limerick and wife Jennifer, and Melissa Limerick; a sister, Linda Roper and husband Rick of Ellenboro, NC; grandchildren, Ryan Freeman, Tyler Dodson, and Leslie Dodson; great grandchildren, Elias, Harrison, and Maizey and step-grandchildren, Carmen, Jordan, Sydney, Ian, McKenzie, and Aaron.  He was also preceded in death by a step-daughter, Jackie Limerick Wilson.

Graveside services will be private.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
