James Leslie “Jim” Yarbrough, age 65 of Ellenboro, died Sunday, May 2, 2021 at his home. Jim was born in Rutherford County on July 8, 1955 and was a son of the late Robert Hoyle Yarbrough, Jr and Mary Lucy Bowen Yarbrough. He worked for Azdel Corporation in Shelby where he retired.
Jim was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and a graduate of East Rutherford High School in the class of 1973. He enjoyed all things outdoors and he especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Hoyle Yarbrough, Sr and Melissa Brooks Yarbrough and William and Mary Belle Roper Bowen as well as his sister, Pat Yarbrough Luckadoo.
Survivors include his wife, Marian Price Yarbrough of the home, his children, Eric Yarbrough and wife Kristen, Gina Smith and husband Michael, and Angie Medford and husband Chad, his grandchildren, Madelyn & Eli Yarbrough, Avery & Sydney Haynes, Tyler, Trent, and Amanda Head, Alysse & Stephanie Smith, Malik Logan, Odarius Hardin, Brandon Morrison, Caleb & Caitlyn Medford, his great-grandchildren, Ivy, Alaia, Addie, Maizey, Maggie, Archer, Rory, and Darren; brother, Dale Yarbrough and wife Linda, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the Corinth Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Conner and Reverend Ad Hopper officiating. A eulogy will also be given by Mr. Rick Freeman. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The Family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o’clock on Wednesday at the Padgett and King Mortuary.
