Jennie Mae Short Nolen age 95 died Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Fairhaven Home in Bostic.
Born on August 15, 1925 in Rutherford County, North Carolina she was a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Short and Iver Brackett Short. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church and had been a Caregiver for many people over the years. Prior to going to Fairhaven Home, she was a former resident of Race Path Church Road in Ellenboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rubble Daniel Nolen, and her sons, Wade Rubble Nolen and Wayne Calvin Nolen.
Surviving are her daughters, Patsy Nolen Lail and husband, Mike of Mooresboro, North Carolina and Joyce Nolen Dobbins and husband, Robert of Ellenboro, North Carolina; two brothers, Paul Short of Belton, South Carolina, and Robert Short of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters, Madeline Biggerstaff of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, Betty Brooks of Forest City, North Carolina and Mary Mize of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 2 o’clock at the Liberty Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Mack Tester officiating. Interment will follow in the Race Path Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 1:45 prior to the service.
