Jeffery Scott Dodson

Jeffery Scott Dodson, age 52 of Ellenboro, died Saturday, October 17, 2020.  Jeffery was born May 12, 1968 in Rutherford County and worked as a welder for Republic Service’s in Shelby.   He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and always willing to help others.   He enjoyed deer hunting, antiques, tractors, and any outdoor activity. 

He is survived by his parents, Hansel and Betty Beaver Dodson of Ellenboro, his loving wife, Amy Freeman Dodson of the home, his daughter, Jessica Dodson of Shelby and grandson, Waylon Adams ,his sister, Donna Lowery and husband Keith of Ellenboro,  two step-children, Tyler Byers of Greenville, SC, Taylor Byers of Charlotte, and a nephew, Justin Lowery of Ellenboro.

A graveside service will be held at 2 o’clock on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Mike Conner officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o’clock Wednesday evening at The Padgett and King Mortuary where social distancing and masks will be observed.
