Jean Marie Jerome Davis, 83, of Forest City went home to be with the Lord on June 29, 2026 at Hospice House. She was the daughter of the late Rufus and Grace Jerome. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Glenn Davis. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Jerome and Jerry Jerome (her twin) and two sisters, Judy Jerome and Pat Ritt.
Jean is survived by son Mike and wife Amanda of Forest City, daughter Norma of the home and son Chris and wife Michelle of Saluda. She is also survived by two sisters, Mildred Wellons and Brenda Airington. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild.
Jean was a special woman who loved her Lord. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Although she will be missed, we know she is happy and at peace strolling over Heaven with her husband and family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock on Friday, July 3, 2026, in The Padgett and King Chapel with the Reverend Paul Scott officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 o’clock prior to the service at the mortuary. Entombment service will be held at 2 o’clock on Friday at Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum in Morganton.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, Post Office Box 336, Forest City, North Carolina 28043.
