Jane was born in Charlotte, North Carolina to John L. Volk and Mary Wagner Volk of Belmont, North Carolina. She loved to travel, play cards, play Bingo and solve puzzles. Jane loved sunshine and palm trees, consequently she lived in Florida for many years and resided in California for a time.
Jane was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Holter of Elyria, Ohio.
Jane is survived by three sons, William Boyd Moose, Jr. (Karen) of Belmont, NC, Charles Edward Moose (Emily) of Forest City, NC, and Robert Alan Moose also of Forest City, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy MacDonald of Jamesville, NY, and niece, Diane Kubarek (Keith) of Ithaca, NY as well as a special companion, her cat Brandy. They were devoted to one another.
In accordance with Jane’s wishes, there will be no public memorial service. Her ashes will be scattered in a place she chose during a private ceremony.
