Hildred Mae DeHass was born January 15, 1934, in Pine Bluff to George Fredrick Yaney and Hollis Smith Yaney. She was married to Tom DeHass, who preceded her in death along with her parents and her daughter, Ricklyn Chadwick. Hildred was a homemaker for most of her life, having worked in various jobs in her earlier years.  She passed away on March 22, 2024. 

She enjoyed spending time with her family and was always willing and ready to play a good game of Backgammon. She also loved playing cards, especially Hands and Feet. Her family fondly recalls how she loved to garden and to read. It was amazing how much she read.

Hildred was always young at heart and enjoyed life right to the end, when she passed away at the age of 90 years young on Friday, March 22, 2024.

Survivors include her sister, Anneta Ford of White Hall, AR; her brother, Alfred Yaney of PA; and many other relatives, among them, Robin DeHass, Dodie Madigan, Angela Alexander and Nichole Strawser.

She will be laid to rest in Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Forest City, NC.
